2016-17 Topps Match Attax German Bundesliga #79 Christian Pulisic

 

When Christian Pulisic began his professional career in the German Bundesliga in 2016 at 17 years old, no Bundesliga-only premium cards were made (Topps Chrome Bundesliga began with the 2018-19 set).  Pulisic did have four Bundesliga-only issues across two sets, however.  These four consist of two stickers (2016-17 Topps German Bundesliga Stickers #99 and #207) and two cards (2016-17 Topps Match Attax German Bundesliga #79 and #604).

Match Attax is the world’s best-selling soccer trading card game (TCG), produced by Topps since 2006 across different soccer leagues around the world.  These TCG cards allow two players to play a game against each other within a set of rules that govern formations, player selection, and tactics using player statistic ratings on the cards to decide the winner of individual sequences of play and, ultimately, the game.

Pulisic’s card #79 is his 2016-17 Topps Match Attax German Bundesliga base card.  The exact print run is unknown, but the German-only issuance served to limit the print run and raw copies are not available in large quantities these days.  The graded population of this card also is incredibly small.  As of January 2026, only 106 copies of the card have been graded by PSA, with 51 of those being PSA 10s.  Only eleven copies of the card have been graded by BGS, with eight 9.5 grades and no 10 grades.  Only four copies have been graded by SGC, three of which were graded a 10.  None have been graded by CGC.
