2016-17 Panini National Convention Memorabilia #CP Christian Pulisic
The 2017 National Sports Collectors Convention (NSCC) was held in Rosemont, Illinois from July 26-30, 2017. During the NSCC, Panini offered a Wrapper Redemption program allowing collectors and dealers to exchange wrappers for packs of multi-sport cards it produced specifically to be distributed at the NSCC. Included in these packs were a 100-card base set (which included eight soccer players, but not Christian Pulisic), a 55-card “Rookies” set (which included Christian Pulisic as the only soccer player), a 10-card “Basketball Prospects” set, a 34-card “Legends” set (which included two soccer players, but not Christian Pulisic), a 37-card “Rated Rookie Next Day Autographs” set (which contained NFL football rookies only) and a 40-card Memorabilia set (which included only two soccer players, Christian Pulisic and Lionel Messi). In addition to the Wrapper Redemption Packs, Panini offered an additional “VIP” set that was distributed in Gold Packs from its annual VIP event, which VIP set also included Christian Pulisic and contained autograph parallels and, ostensibly, relic parallels.
Thus, there were three total Christian Pulisic cards distributed at the 2017 NSCC. Each of these cards contains a 2017 copyright date on the back of the card, but the back of each card also states “2016-17 Panini – the National” on the back of the cards. The July 26-30, 2017 date of the NSCC occurred during a window in time after the conclusion of the 2016-17 Bundesliga and Champions League seasons, but before the beginning of the 2017-18 Bundesliga and Champions League seasons. National teams, meanwhile, do not have seasons and all three Pulisic 2017 National Sports Collectors Convention cards featured Pulisic in his national team (USMNT) uniform. Given the date of the 2017 NSCC and other factors, arguments can be made for and against the three 2017 NSCC Pulisic cards being rookie year cards. We include all three cards in this website in the interest of being comprehensive.
We have never opened packs of the 2017 Panini National Sports Collectors Convention Wrapper Redemption cards, so we are unable to make any comments regarding pull rates (we have only obtained copies of this card through direct purchases). All copies, including the base version, of the 2016-17 Panini National Convention Memorabilia #CP Christian Pulisic card are listed below:

As of January 2026, PSA has graded only five of the base card, none of which have graded higher than a PSA 7. PSA also has graded three copies of the Rapture /49, four copies of the Rainbow Spokes /25, two copies of the Escher Squares /10, and one copy of the Pyramids /5. Across all ten of these non-base parallels graded by PSA, none have graded higher than the two graded PSA 9 (both of which are Rainbow Spokes copies); all others are graded PSA 8 or below. BGS, meanwhile, has not graded any copies of the base card but has graded one copy each of the Rapture /49, Rainbow Spokes /25, Escher Squares /10, Pyramids /5, and the Hyperplaid 1/1. None of these have graded higher than a BGS 9. SGC, for its part, has graded one base (an SGC 8.5) and one Rapture /49 (an SGC 9). It appears none have been graded by CGC.
